Flushing of Fire Hydrants
Fall Flushing of Hydrants will start Sunday, September25th thru Friday, October 7th, 2022 during the hours of 6:00PM - 6:00AM and/or 9:00AM - 3:00PM (weather permitting).
During these dates & times, there may be a drop in water pressure and/or a slight discoloration of your water.
If discolored water occurs, run the cold water until it clears.
This discolored water is not a health threat. When the water is discolored it is recommended to not wash laundry.
If you do wash laundry, use a rust stain remover or regular detergent but not chlorine bleach as it will react with the iron to form a permanent stain.
